Please Note:

Medicare has recently introduced tougher regulations. If we violate them, we will be fined. Therefore, please DO NOT decide by yourself what kind of blood test or scan you need, we will do all of them if we can clinically justify that they are necessary for your healthcare. If you still need a check-up, we are always happy to offer them to you, but those tests will NOT be covered by Medicare (you will have to pay the labs for them.) The tests needed for your regular medical care will NOT be affected.

This intensified Medicare auditing is applicable to medicines as well. Therefore, we have to screen and decide whether you will really need a certain medicine you may request unless that drug is included in your regular treatment regimen.

Medicare is becoming stricter and we have to comply their rules.

Work cover certificates: patient or the employer has to pay for the certificate until it is approved and paid by the Work Cover (in which case the  patient will get a reimbursement.)

Medical Services

Feeling tired every so often is a normal part of everyday life. However, if you’re feeling constantly or extremely fatigued it’s important to ensure there isn’t an underlying reason, such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Causes of your fatigue or tiredness could range from psychological stress to an internal issue, such as infection, reduced detoxification ability of the body, poor gut health, ongoing mold infections, or heavy metal toxicity.

Hormone imbalances – estrogen and progesterone in women and testosterone in men – can see a wide range of effects, including weight gain or weight loss, weakness, fatigue, anxiety, irritability, and more. Hormone deficiencies can be corrected by improving the body’s detoxification ability, correcting underlying gut issues and oral and topical hormone replacement therapies.

Commonly abbreviated as BHRT, bio-identical hormone replacement is a treatment used to balance hormonal imbalances using identical duplicates of hormones from plant sources. BHRT can be used to treat imbalances in both men and women. BHRT can also be used to treat conditions including resistance to insulin, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and thyroid disorders. (Once your gut health and detox processes are fired, and you are on a proved detox diet.)

Immunodeficiencies can have a range of symptoms such as frequent infections and low blood platelet counts. Chronic immune deficiencies can also be indicative of a wider, more serious problem, so don’t let the problem go untested. Many of these patients may not have any detectable abnormality in routine blood tests.

A long-term condition that results in the kidneys working improperly or ineffectively, CKD does not tend to have symptoms during the earlier stages. Later stages of CKD have symptoms including blood in your pee, tiredness, headaches, feeling sick, and muscle cramps. This can be easily detected in a routine blood test.

If you happen to take multiple medications due to various reasons, that also contributes to chronic tiredness.

Due to chronic illnesses, toxins or chronic infections etc. Our cells will not be able to produce enough energy (due to mitochondrial dysfunction.) In such a situation, your body has to be detoxified first, then supplements must be given to improve mitochondrial functions.

If you suffer from mental disorders, and if they are lasting more than 12 months, further strategies may include:

psychotherapy, medication, or recommendations for lifestyle changes. Signs that you may require additional help from an expert include inability to manage your everyday routines, extreme frustration, sadness, paranoia, or irritability, and frequent, uncontrollable outbursts.

Autism and ADHD can be difficult to diagnose – especially in adults. Symptoms of ADHD include executive dysfunction, inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. The symptoms of autism are far wider and are diagnosed on an individual basis.

Migraines and non-resolving headaches can be incredibly distressing and disruptive to your daily routines. Diagnosis of whether or not you suffer from migraines can allow for appropriate treatment, including medication and the advising of coping techniques. Many of these patients may suffer from gut issues, detoxification errors and mitochondrial issues which are connectable with natural therapies.

If your mitochondria don’t work as well as they should, it’s usually down to another underlying condition or disease. Symptoms of mitochondrial dysfunction include poor growth, liver, kidney, or heart problems, muscle weakness and pain, vision problems, and respiratory problems. Many would suffer from unexplained fatigue. In a lot of the patients, this can be treated with diet, exercise and natural therapies.

Everyone suffers from acid reflux or bloating from time to time. However, if your gastrointestinal problems don’t seem to resolve themself over time or using over-the-counter methods such as taking antacids, it may be wise to see a professional that can investigate for any underlying causes.

There are natural therapies to fix these issues. In many of the instances either gastroscopy or colonoscopy may not shine any light to the cause of these issues. Functional medical assessments, diet and lifestyle management and natural medical treatments are successfully used at Wandal Medical Centre to treat these issues.

Complex mental health needs are significant, rare or persistent mental health challenges that can affect how an individual functions. For example, complex mental health issues can impact how well a person performs at work, in education or within their community. If you believe your mental health is impacting your lifestyle, it is advisable to seek treatment.
A thyroid disorder is a condition where your thyroid is unable to make the correct amount of hormones. A functioning thyroid makes the right amount of hormones for your body to function normally. With a thyroid disorder, the thyroid typically overproduces hormones, making your body use energy too quickly.
If you are experiencing pains in your joints, such as painful swelling, it may be being caused by an autoimmune disorder. Autoimmune disorders can cause your immune system to target and attack healthy cells by accident. This can cause painful swelling and joint pain, like arthritis.
Year-round allergies are usually caused by exposure to airborne substances, such as dust. The most common symptom of chronic allergies includes a stuffy or runny nose. Other symptoms include an itchy throat and mouth. Medical tests are needed to determine the cause or trigger of the chronic allergy.
Trouble getting to sleep for three nights a week or more is considered to be chronic insomnia. Chronic stress can be both a trigger for insomnia and a side effect. For example, stress can cause an individual to be unable to sleep, and lack of sleep can cause an individual to become stressed. This can leave many people stuck in a vicious cycle of stress/insomnia.
Chronic pain is pain that is persistent for 12 weeks or longer. Chronic pain can occur when an old injury or operation has failed to heal properly, but can sometimes happen without any history of injury or going under the knife. Chronic pain in the neck, back, shoulder, ankle, hip or knee can often be treated without medical attention.
Menopause side effects can range from mild to severe. Women dealing with severe menopause side effects, such as frequent hot flushes and side effects, may wish to consider menopause management. Menopause management can include a wide range of treatments, including hormone therapy and estrogen cream.
Individuals with dementia or suffering from memory loss often have trouble remembering to eat and drink. A person with dementia, for example, may struggle to recognise food in front of them or be unsure how to eat a certain item of food. Nutritional support is available for individuals with memory loss or dementia.
If you struggle with losing/gaining weight or find it difficult to maintain a healthy weight you may be struggling with weight issues. Individuals who are severely under or overweight can benefit from medical help to monitor their weight and learn nutritional guidance.
